The Probate Court needs the original will, if there is a will. The person or persons named as Personal Representative (formerly known as Executor or Executrix) must contact the office for an appointment.

If there is no will, the surviving spouse will need to make an appointment with the court. 

If there is no surviving spouse, the next-of-kin should contact the Court for additional information.
