William Hack, Jr. Obituary

William Harry Hack, Jr., was a man of God and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. He was 64.

He was born January 27, 1957 in Youngstown, Ohio to William Harry Hack, Sr. and the late Rosemarie Cupp.  Bill loved working with his hands from a young age. He started his first job throwing newspapers for the Youngstown Vindicator to earn money in high school.  He attended Chaney High School, graduating in 1975. In 1976, he joined the US Air Force.  It was November 21, 1981 when he married Bobbie Rose Semko.  The young couple, fairly new in their faith to Jesus Christ and his salvation's Journey, began their walk with Jesus, their Rock.  They made their home in Rock Hill, SC, where they had three children: a daughter, Rachael Nichole Hack Picone (Eric), and two sons, Solomon Matthew Hack and Matthias Justus Hack, and a grandson, Aiden James Picone.  They will gravely miss him.

Bill was a hard-working honest man.  He loved to laugh and joke around with his family and friends.  His laughter and humor were contagious. This man was dedicated to his Lord Jesus, to caring for his family and helping others. He captured the hearts of others very quickly with his wit and tender spirit, or at times, quirky, off-spoken words. These were words he would speak to get the attention of someone he was trying to help.

Bill, through his years of marriage, had accomplished much. He loved with his whole heart. He was a certified horticulture plantsman, with a degree from the Clemson Extension Agency.  He owned Green Earth Landscaping of Rock Hill from 1989-2010. He later began Three Trees Nursery of Rock Hill in 2019, all the while holding a full-time job. He was a Mechanical Assembler and a Medical Technician for the Sanmina Corporation until his cancer diagnosis in October of 2021, when he retired.

Bill passed away on November 25, 2021 at home, peacefully surrounded by his loving wife, Bobbie, sons, Matthias and Solomon and Sister-in-law, Eve. He now resides with Jesus Christ in Heaven, and is able to visit regularly with his mother, Rosemarie Cupp Hack, brother, Thomas Steven Hack, father-in-law, Michael George Semko II, and sister-in-law, Anne Marie Semko, who all preceded him in death.

Bill also leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his Dad, William H. Hack, Sr.; four sisters, Jeanmarie Bender, Therisa Marie Hack, Christine Hack, and Rose Hack all of Youngstown, Ohio; one brother, Matthew Andrew Hack of Tomball, Texas; mother-in-law, Barbara Lee Brittingham; two brothers-in-law, Michael G. Semko III (Patricia) and Robert John Semko; two sisters-in-law, Michelle Lee Semko and Eve Marie Kinneer; Special children whom he helped to rear, Christi Marie Canipe (Darrell) and their children, Bradley, Madelyn, and Jaxson all of Lincolnton, NC; and Debbie Cooper (Frank) and their children, Frank Jr., Delilah, Jesse, Cole, and Carson all of Smithfield, Texas; and special friends, Angel Miller & John Neal, Mint Hill, NC.

A celebration of life will be held at Faith Assembly Church of God in Rock Hill, SC at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 5, 2021 for all who want to attend. Services will be live-streamed as well.
