Mr. Tony Wayne Lindsay, 56, of 11117 Michelangelo Court, Charlotte, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at his home.
He was born December 29, 1961 in York County to the late Mary Helen Lindsay Parker and Charlie Ashley. He graduated York Comprehensive High School in 1980 and attended Hopewell United Methodist Church in York. After graduation, he served in the United States Army from 1980-1983.
Tony's hobbies included fishing, gardening, grilling and hanging out with beloved family and friends every chance he got.
He re-united with his high school love, Penny Crocker Wasmund, five years ago and they married and shared a home in Charlotte with their adopted pets. Tony volunteered at the York County Animal Shelter with Penny before moving to Charlotte.
Preceding his death are his parents, and his sister, Francis Patricia Mobley.
Tony leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, Penny, of the home; his sisters, Phyllis Elaine McCullough of Rock Hill and Anita Jean Lindsay of York; and brother, Marcus Allen Parker of Raleigh, NC; two adoptive Aunts, Sarah L. Barnette and Minnie Simpson both of York, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
