Timothy Ray Anderson

Memorial services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at New Home AME Zion Church in York, SC with Rev. H.A. Gregory III officiating, and Rev. Andre Good eulogizing. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:30 am prior to the service.

God gives each of us a gift of Life, to cherish from our birth.

He watches us with loving care, and takes us by the hand then when our work on earth is done, He calls us to his side where peace and love abide

Timothy Ray Anderson, son of Carlee Anderson and Marjorie Anderson, brother to Carl Anderson and Dedric Anderson and husband to Ingé Anderson was born in York, SC on April 6, 1968. He departed this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Atrium Hospital in Pineville, NC. 

Timmy graduated from York Comprehensive High School in 1986. He then graduated from Lees-McRae junior college in 1988 and finally he went on to North Carolina A&T University, where he studied business and received his BA in Business Administration. He taught school in Clover for high-risk youth and coached football in York and Clover football leagues. He also worked at York Place, Charlotte’s Douglas International Airport and Second Harvest Food Bank in Charlotte, NC which is a testament of his compassion and love for others. As a child, he attended church at St. Luke #2 Baptist Church.

Timmy lived his life to the fullest. His pastimes often included traveling, working out, cuddling with his wife and dog Sophie, watching his beloved Buffalo Bills, LA Dodgers, or his other television favorite, boxing. He had a calm persona but was always full of laughter. All who knew and loved him will miss him dearly.

Timmy leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Ingé Anderson; his mother, Majorie Anderson and father, Carlee Anderson (Doris); his brothers Carl, and Dedric Anderson (T); Aunts, Bernice Meeks and Dianne Gwinn; Uncles, William Roberts and Samuel Mustafa Anderson; Great Aunt, Anne Sanders; his beloved nephews and nieces, Chaz Williams, Darian Anderson, Carlissa Anderson, Karolena Logan, Jada Anderson, Kalyn Logon, and Amina Anderson; best friends, WL Davis, Mike Williams, Johnny McClure, Daren Murray, Marvin Smarr; and a host of cousins and friends.
