Tabitha (Slaughter) Glenn

Tabitha “Strawberry” Glenn, 43, of York County SC, died November 14, 2023, at home.  Tabitha was born at Divine Savior Hospital in York SC, on April 18, 1980, a daughter of the late Darryl Slaughter, Patricia Blevins and Claude Blevins. 

She was a home health care giver. She loved sitting and talking with her patients, helping them, cleaning their home to make them feel better and bringing them as much joy as they brought to her. 

She loved her family more than herself most days, and no other family brought her joy the way her grandbabies did. She was there for anybody who needed her and loved to sit and talk with her friends for hours on the phone or in person. She made everybody smile and laugh. And will be truly missed.  

She leaves behind four children: Joe Brent Owens and Wife Kara Owens, whom she considered a daughter, James Austin Owens, and Johnathan Christian Blevins; two Grandchildren: Joe Bryson Owens, and Andrew Axton Owens; Her siblings: Shane King, Samantha Stewart (Gene) , Claude Blevins Jr. (Nicole), Tasha Crawford (Clifton), Joshua Slaughter, and Jonathan Slaughter; Special family members Tee Glenn and son Jayden Glenn, whom she raised as a son; along with several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

The family will receive friends Sunday November 19, 2023 from 6pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home in York SC. A funeral will be held Monday November 20, 2023 at 11am at Liberty Baptist Church in York SC.
