Ms. Sharon Stewart, 61, departed this life on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Novant Health in Charlotte, NC. Sharon Rhea Stewart was born on July 7, 1961 to Maple Stewart and Ray McClure.
Sharon accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age as a member of Langrum Branch Baptist Church of York, SC. As Sharon grew up in the church as an adult, she later moved her membership to Second Calvary Baptist Church. Sharon was an active member of the choir, advisor for the youth choir, and was a praise dancer for the Daughters of Judah. Sharon was also a member of the Prayer band hymn choir.
Sharon was a hard worker. She worked for over 20+ years at Wendy’s and was a part time bartender at Kings & Queens Restaurant & Lounge. After leaving both of those jobs, she then worked as seamstress for 2 major furniture companies for a few years. Sharon then returned to her passion of customer service, in the food service industry by working at Burger King in the Charlotte-Douglas airport. Sharon always had a love for people and a love for the Lord.
Sharon is survived by her son Mark Ham-Stewart of Charlotte, NC; mother, Maple Stewart of York, SC; sister, Frances of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Melvin of York, SC, Timothy (Lois) of Rock Hill, SC and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren survive Sharon.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Second Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12 prior to the service.
