Robert Eugene "Gene" Lee

Mr. Robert Eugene (Gene) Lee, 62, was born September 15, 1954 in York County, SC to Eliza Virginia Lee and the late Isaiah Allison.

Robert was educated in the Clover School District, where he obtained his high school diploma.  After graduation, he worked several jobs before becoming employed at North Hand Safety, now Honeywell, where he has worked for 40 years.

Robert joined Zoah AME Zion at an early age and was a faithful member until his transition.  He served on the Steward Board, Trustee Board and Usher Board.  Robert loved quartet singing, even though he only sang openly to certain people, like his daughter.

Robert is preceded in death by a daughter, Aleecia Dawn Tims; grandparents, Emma and Samuel Lee; two aunts, Lottie and Martha Lee; and one uncle, Elize Lee Bell.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 30 years, Susanna Tims Lee; one daughter, Shekilyn Eliza Lee; two sons, Travis and Tremaine Lee; his mother, Eliza Virginia Lee; four grandchildren: Travon, Damien, A-kila, and Kaleigh; one brother, Johnny Mattlewis; four aunts, Rutha McMackins (Alonzo), Emma Rawlinson, Glenda Lee, and Barbara Cooley; one uncle, Eddie Oates (Jay); a special aunt, Rene McGill; He also leaves a host of other relatives and many friends.
