Queen McClain Obituary

Mrs. Queen Jamison McClain, 74, of 1340 Fairhope Road, York, South Carolina was born September 7, 1944 in York County to the late Ruby Jamison and Rosa Lee Anderson Good.  God lovingly took Queen home to be with Him on Monday, December 31, 2018.

Queen was a hard worker, always showing loyalty to her job and her family.  Never one to say “no,” she exemplified courage, duty, honor and respect to her family, co-workers, and friends alike.

She loved to travel, especially to the beach.  Queen could always be found spending time with her family and having a good time.  Willing to help anybody, she loved life and will be dearly missed.

Queen leaves to honor and cherish her memories: her loving husband of fifty years, Johnny McClain of the home; two sons, Sherice “Reece” McClain of Rock Hill, SC and Damien McClain (Artise) of Matthews, NC; four grandchildren, Deshawn Littlejohn, LaQuan Love, Nathan McClain, and Callie McClain; five sisters, Margaret Ann Burris of Rock Hill, SC, Dianne Lipscomb (Eric), Betty Good, Sandy Cunningham (Fred), and Lois Brown all of York, SC; a special aunt, Anne Sanders of Maryland; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Luke #2 Baptist Church in Sharon, SC with Rev. Persell Ross officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, January 4, 2019 at the funeral home, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service, and other times at the home.
