Philip Michael Drake

Mr. Philip M. Drake, 75, of Sharon, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024. He was born March 3, 1949 in Dearborn, Michigan.

Better known as Phil, or Mike, he loved sports, especially baseball and soccer. The Detroit Tigers was his favorite baseball team, and he often caught the games on TV. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He was also a coach for YMCA youth sports. Phil spent many years as a minister, and enjoyed painting as a lifelong hobby. He always had great advice for his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his wife, Sarah Jane of the home; three children, Michael, Angela and Zach (wife, Amanda); two stepsons who he helped to raise, Renzo and Andrei; a granddaughter, Mina; and two brothers and a sister.

A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Good Shepherd Church, 13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC.
