Melvin Max Moss

Melvin Max Moss, "Cowboy," passed away at his home on Saturday, February 7, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born July 16, 1945, he was a son of the late Zeke and Wilma Moss.

His home church was Unity Baptist Church in Hickory Grove, SC, where he regularly attended. He had a great love of fishing and gardening, and blue grass music.

His profession was in the textile industry, working at the Bleachery in Rock Hill, for Bonnie Watts at York Print, and at Austin International in York. He retired in 2005.

He is preceded in deathy by a daughter, Kristin Moss; a brother, Leon Moss; and a sister, Lois Moss.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Brenda R. Moss of the home; a son, Jason Moss of Hickory Grove, SC; two daughters, Leslie Hunt of Kings Mountain, NC and Meghan Moss of Sharon, SC; four grandchildren: Landon and Jaiden Hunt, McKayla Moss and Bella Morrow; one surviving brother, Gene Moss of Lake Murray, SC; and one sister-in-law, Frances Moss of Hickory Grove, SC.

Memorial services will be 4:00 pm, Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Unity Baptist Church, 2300 Irene Bridge Hwy, Hickory Grove, SC 29717. Visitation with the family will begin at 3:00 pm, prior to the service.
