Maple Lula Stewart

Ms. Maple Lula Stewart, of 106 Payne Court, York, SC transitioned from this life on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. She was the daughter of the late Sarah Williams Watson.

She was educated in York Public Schools and worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Watson; one brother, Mack Johnson; and one daughter, Sharon R. Stewart.

Surviving to cherish loving memories are her children: Frances Kennedy of Winston-Salem, NC, Melvin Stewart of York, SC, and Timothy Stewart (Lois) of Rock Hill, SC; one brother, Chris Johnson (Barbara) of Charlotte, NC; one grandchild whom she helped to raise, Anissa Stewart-Jiles; six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
