Mrs. Linda J. (Helms) Thomas, 79, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
Born on May 27, 1947, in Gastonia, North Carolina, Linda was the daughter of the late Jesse and Carrie (Deaver) Helms.
Linda shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Tommy E. Thomas Sr. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy E. Thomas Sr.; her children, Tommy E. Thomas Jr. and Susan E. Thomas; her grandchildren, Kristen Dean; Jesse Thomas and his spouse, Christina; Ashley Thomas; Rachel Thomas; and Rebekah Thomas; and her great-grandchildren, Peyton Thomas, JT Thomas, Nolan Frizell, and Bryce Frizell, with another great-grandchild, Baby Rio Dearman, expected soon. She is also survived by her siblings, Wayne, James, and Nancy, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Linda was a business owner, homemaker, and stay-at-home mother. She owned Little Critters Pet Store in Gaston Mall, where her love for animals and serving others was evident. Above all, she took great pride in caring for her home and family.
She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved fishing, cooking, baking, and attending church. Some of her favorite moments were spent sitting on her porch, listening to the birds, enjoying the beautiful weather, and visiting with family and friends. Her warm presence, kind heart, and the memories she created will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to thank everyone for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time. Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends for generations to come.
