Judy Bailey, 73, of York, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. Born on August 4, 1952, Judy was the daughter of the late Etta and Dewey McCluney, and granddaughter of the late Maggie McCluney — all of whom preceded her in death.
Judy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She devoted her life to her family and was known for her strength, perseverance, and unwavering love. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Mark Bailey, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Bodenhamer (Tim Wilson) and April Hubbard, as well as her brothers Jerry and Mack, and her stepson, Beau Bailey. Judy was blessed with seven grandchildren — Cody Hubbard, Lindsey Hubbard, Amber Bodenhamer, Brandon Bass (Kayla), Adam, Jaiden, and Easton Bailey — and five great-grandchildren; Emma, Trevor, William, Colby, and Zoey, all of whom were the light of her life and brought her immeasurable joy.
Judy will be remembered for her loving heart, her resilience, and her devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the memories she leaves behind.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at a later date. The family asks that you honor her by showing kindness and love to others — just as she did throughout her life.
Forever loved and deeply missed, Judy rests now in peace.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
