             Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved parents.  Limited visitation will be from 1:00 to 1:45 at the funeral home. (Per the Order of the Governor of SC, we will practice all safety precautions to protect the family from COVID-19)

Johnnie Katurah Love, 45, of 9 Magnolia Street, York, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.  Born Johnnie Katurah Marie Love on March 16, 1975 in York, she now joins her parents, Johnny, Jr. and Joanne Neely Love, in that Heavenly Kingdom.

Kay, as she was affectionately called, was a 1993 graduate of York Comprehensive High School and spent many years as a machine operator in the textile industry before her sudden illness.

Kay was many things to many people, but what she took pride in most was being “Aunt Kay Kay.” Kay’s relationship with her nieces and nephews was one of a kind! They would rather spend time with Aunt Kay Kay than their own parents.  Being in the company of her nieces and nephews was the highlight of her life, and nothing compares to the joy and admiration they gave her in return.  The love they shared made Kay happiest, no matter their age.

Preceding Kay in death in addition to her parents are a sister, Angela Love; paternal grandfather, John Love, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Amize and Feannie Neely; and her fiancé, James Crosby.

She is survived by her sister, Sonja Andrews (Lenny), and twin brother, Johnny Love IV (Demetria); her grandmother, Isabell Jones; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Leonard Love, DeShaw Andrews, LaMyia Love, JaNyia Love. Also left to cherish fond memories are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and special friends of the family of the late James Crosby.
