Mr. John David Bailey, 60, of 308 Quater Horse Drive, Clover, SC passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at Atrium Health-Main in Charlotte, NC. Born November 15, 1958 in York, he was a son of the late Tommy Lee and Mary Elizabeth Hemphill Bailey.
David attended Clover Schools. He was a member of Clover High School's National Honor Society, served in the US Air Force, and later worked as a construction laborer prior to succumbing to disability.
On May 6, 2011 David and Josephine Phillips joined in Holy Matrimony. David loved his family, but he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great niece. (Them babies is what he called them).
Preceding him in death are his parents and sister, Marilyn Bailey, and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Phillips.
He leaves a loving wife Josephine Bailey; two sons, Adrian Robinson (Andria) of Augusta GA and John David Bailey Jr. of Clover SC; a sister, Mary Hames (Rick) of Charlotte NC; three brothers, Tommy Bailey (Violet) of Jacksonville FL, Allen Bailey of Clover SC, and Mannix Bailey of Charlotte NC; five aunts, Martha McGill of York SC, Mary Fewell of Clover SC, Alberta Neely, Ruth Hemphill, and Edna Bailey of Charlotte NC, sisters-in-law, Macie Phillips, Della Love (Allen), Nancy Lowry (Lewyn), a brother-in-law, Thomas Phillips; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
