Harvey Frink passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29 in Blythewood, SC at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Myra Bynoe Frink.
Harvey was born on October 20, 1938 to Barley and Grace duBignon Frink in Fayetteville, NC. He was educated in the New York City school system and served in the U.S. Army prior to working as a business owner with his own exterminating company and later in the private sector at WalMart and Palmetto Health (now Prisma). Harvey will be most remembered for his gentle, yet feisty, disposition, love for his family and beautiful singing voice. One of his great joys was singing in a Doo-Wop group, The Monarchs, as a young adult in New York. Later, he and the group would cut a record, “Pretty Little Girl." The single can still be heard on YouTube: https://youtu.be/vuWHNKH5Cis.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving daughter, Pamela Bynoe-Reed of Columbia; a sister, Shirley Smith, of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Zander Frink; two brothers-in-law, Herbert D. (Gwen) Bynoe and Dr. Raymond P.H. (Terri) Bynoe; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family wishes to thank Mary Bacote and the staff of Mary’s Residential Care for their kindness in caring for “Mr. Harvey” during his stay. Due to the present pandemic, funeral services will be held at a later date.
