Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC.
Mr. Mobley may be viewed from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Saturday, February 21st here at the funeral home.
Mr. George Henry Mobley, Sr., of 935 W. Chappell Road, McConnells, South Carolina departed this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He was born in York County, the beloved son of the late Mr. Henry B. Mobley and Mrs. Bessie L. Mobley.
Mr. Mobley was educated in the public schools of York County and was a graduate of Jefferson High School. He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Mobley also served in the Army Reserves and retired from Celanese Corporation after 35 years of dedicated service.
Mr. Mobley loved fishing, hunting and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He also enjoyed operating heavy equipment and cherished spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Mrs. Alise Kennedy Mobley; his parents, Mr. Henry and Mrs. Bessie Mobley; and one brother, Mr. Horace Mobley.
Mr. Mobley leaves to cherish his memory his children; Mr. James V. Mobley, Mr. George H. Mobley, Jr. (Cynthia), and Mrs. Shernita L. Johnson (Roberte); his grandchildren: Xavier D. McFadden, Jalen M. Johnson, Jeren M. Johnson, Jerrell L. Mobley, James Z. Mobley, JaMareon M. Johnson, Kendall J. Mobley, Jordan M. Mobley and Semaj J. Mobley; his great-grandchildren: Raven M. Mobley, Dren A. Johnson, ZyMir Mobley-Well, and Jerrell L. Mobley, Jr. He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Dolly M. Brown (Titus); his sister-in-law, Ms. Willie Mae Kennedy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
