Mr. Gary Boyd, II, "Junie," 26, departed this earthly life, Friday, February 21, 2020 in Clover, SC. Born December 15, 1993 in Charlotte, NC, he was a son of Lynetta Moore and Gary V. Boyd.
Gary was a resident of Rock Hill, SC. He attended school in Clover, SC and graduated in 2012 from Clover High School. Gary worked for many years in plumbing on housing rehabilitation projects in Gastonia, NC.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mrs. Johnie Mae Burris Boyd; and two grandfathers, Hiawatha Rankin and R.J Boyd.
Mr. Boyd leaves to cherish fond memories his parents, Lynetta Moore (Terry) of Rock Hill, SC and Gary Boyd (Penny) of Gastonia, NC; six sisters: Alexis McInnis of Charlotte, NC, Gerri Adams of Gastonia, NC, Gabriel Boyd of Clover, SC, Danielle Tate of Gastonia, NC, Brandy Thomas of Rock Hill, SC, and Lakisha Campbell of Lancaster, SC; three brothers: Byron Bryson (Allie) of Charlotte, NC, Jerel Tate of Miami, FL, and Mario Campbell of Lancaster, SC; grandmothers: Bertha Moore of Charlotte, NC and Joyce Rankin of Mt. Holly, NC; one great-grandfather, Ivie Anderson of Lincolnton, NC. Gary also leaves behind four nephews, and six nieces that were all very close to his heart, and a very close friend, Victor Rodriguez Torres; as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Many, many, many friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Bessemer City, NC with Rev. Thurman Clarke officiating. Burial will follow at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery in Clover, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service.
