Evelyn Marie (Sutton) Gunn

Mrs. Evelyn Marie Sutton Gunn, 72, of York, SC passed away peacefully on January 18, 2020.  Evelyn was born in Waynesville, NC to the late Meredith Lucinda (Wyatt) Sutton and William Elmer Sutton.  She was the wife of the late Lee Edward Gunn, and beloved Mother to Jeri Sutton, and Lynn Sutton and Crystal Gunn, both of whom predeceased her.

Evelyn came from humble beginnings and worked hard throughout her lifetime.  She was passionate about her family, friends, and church family.  She was a faithful and devoted friend to many, and loved each person she came into contact with.

In addition to Jeri, Evelyn leaves to cherish fond memories seven grandchildren: Amanda Owens (Mike), Jozey Larkin, Josh Duncan (Kaylan), Meaghan Earls (Chase), Kasey Camp, April Camp (JP), and Joe Wagenknect (Misty); twenty great-grandchildren: Emily, Elijah, Isabella, Laelah, Thomas, Esmae, Daniel, Abel, Hayden, Savannah, Riley, Jordan, Breanna, Joseph, Matthew, Waylon, Blayke, AJ, Courtney, and Dustin; and her siblings: Jean Faris, Wilson Sutton (Judith), Margaret Wycoff, Violet Stowe (Bill), Shirley Goss (Richard), Hubert Sutton, Odell Sutton (Janice), Mary Roberts, and Eddie Sutton.
