Elden Lanier

Mr. Elden Lanier, 79, of 907 E. Liberty Street, York, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in his home surrounded by family.  He was born September 8, 1942 in Sharon, SC, a son of the late Louise (Spearman) Hinton.

Elden had a heart of gold and loved everyone. He was firm in his faith. Elden loved to get out and walk as much as he could and he loved spending time with his grand babies. Elden helped raise so many and has touched so many hearts with his kindness. He will forever be missed and forever in our hearts. Remembering him is important, but his family is also asking to celebrate for him because he was a man worth celebrating.

He is preceded in death by his late daughter, Kellie Lanier.

Elden is survived by his daughter, Melissa Lanier of York; granddaughter who was raised like a daughter, K’cee and husband, Aaron Eagle; and his grandchildren: Josh Williams, Austen Eagle, Hannah Eagle, & Salem Williams of Gastonia, NC. Also surviving is his twin sister, Helen McAdams.

Graveside interment service will be Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in Sharon, SC.
