Ms. Edna Williams, 57, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte, NC. Born January 7, 1963 in York, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Harris Williams. She was a graduate of York Comprehensive High School, Class of 1981.
Edna was a lover of people. Although she never had any children, she helped nurture and care for many children, as well as adults.
In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by a brother, Samuel V. Williams.
Edna has left to cherish her life three sisters, Pansy Watson (Eugene) of Charlotte, NC, Babette Glenn (Michael) of Rock Hill, SC, and Rev. Wanalyn Barnett (William) of York, SC; two brothers, Willie and Johnny Williams both of the home; two aunts, Helen Harris Good of York, SC, and Viola Dobbins of Charlotte, NC; three uncles, Golden Harris (Linda) of Baltimore, MD, Henry Harris of New Mexico, and George Larrimore (Janice) of Gloucester, MA; a great-uncle, Nathaniel Harris of Winnsboro, SC; a great-aunt, Willie Mae Harris of New York; a godsister, Martha Nichols of Gastonia, NC; as well as a host of nieces and nephews that she loved, played with, taught life lessons and disciplined when necessary; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
