Mrs. Dorothy Parker Fuller, of 803 Steele Street, Fort Mill, SC, passed away Friday evening, October 4, 2019 at Winters Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Garland, Texas. Born December 6, 1929 in Spartanburg, SC she is the daughter of the late Chester "C.P." and Eleanor Rice Parker.
Dorothy was a graduate of Jefferson High School in York, SC. A former member of Wesley United Methodist Church, she later joined United AME Zion Church in Fort Mill, where she was a member of the Hymn Choir and faithfully served until her health failed.
She was a member of the Lux Fiat Chapter #110 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for many years at Springs Mills, and even after retiring, she worked for Hamrick’s Clothing Store. A virtuous woman, she always cared for not only her family, but others around her.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Fuller, Sr.; and two brothers, Joseph and Charles Parker.
Surviving to cherish fond memories are a son, Ernest Fuller, Jr. (Carol) of Garland, TX; a daughter, Yvonne Abdul-Salaam (Khalid) of Columbus, OH; grandchildren: Raqeeb of Ohio, Ramadan of New York, and Saad of Seattle, WA, and Bryan Fuller of Houston, TX; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Reid; special nieces, Yvonne Patton, Rebecca White, Brenda Green, Teresa Cloud, Linda Potts, Deniese Reid, and Kathleen Fegan; special nephews, Ronnie, Tommy, Joe, Bob, Raymond, Billy and Nathaniel Potts; special great-nephews, Jamie and Doug Green, Jody, Telly and Ali Patton, and William Cloud, Jr.; special great-nieces, Jackie Cureton, Bonita Neely, Renee Saunders, Gail Davis, Sherri White, Daphne Perry, and Alicia Foster; the Thompson Family and the AC Fuller Family; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
