Donnie Leo Wilson

Mr. Donnie Leo Wilson, 76, of Rock Hill, SC peacefully departed this earthly life on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at his home. He was a son of the late Frank H. and Grace Thomas Wilson.

Donnie accepted Christ at a very young age and was baptized at Lockhart Chapel Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Sims High School, Class of 1968.

He was an avid fisherman, and an outstanding baseball player for Sims High School and the TriCounty League Lockhart Trojans. Donnie was also a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents are two sons, Tyrone and DeWayne Wilson; and three brothers, Frank Wilson, Jr., Dennis Wilson and Gerald Wilson.

Donnie is survived by his wife Francenia Haggins of the home; a granddaughter, LaTasha Wilson of Spartanburg, SC; a grandson, Trevor Wilson of Sharon, SC; a great-grandson, DeWayne Wilson of Spartanburg, SC; three sisters, Rita Wilson of New York City, NY, Pamela and Kimberly Wilson both of Union, SC; a brother, Ret. Captain André Wilson of Arlington, VA; three bonus daughters, Torry, LaShawna and Shamar all of Rock Hill, SC; his bonus grandchildren: Tyshawn and Terran Hughes, Aaron Christie, Lewis Graham, and Sierra Wilson (Stephon); as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:30 pm, Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Lockhart Chapel Baptist Church in Union, SC, with Rev. James Sarratt officiating and Rev. George Sims eulogizing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:30 pm prior to the funeral service.
