Daril Dino Benjamin

Daril Dino Benjamin entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 4, 2018. He was born on January 21, 1964 to Barbara Lowry Benjamin and the late L. W. Benjamin in Athens, Greece.

Dino was educated in the public schools of York County and graduated from York Comprehensive High School in 1982. He served active duty in the U. S. Navy for 12 years and received numerous military awards. After separating from the military, he worked in law enforcement for many years. Dino was employed with the Winthrop University Police Department, followed by the York County Sheriff’s Department and retired from the Veterans Administration in Columbia.

He was a member of Sons of Light Masonic Lodge #61 and was former owner of DBC Lawn Care and Landscaping, a thriving business that served many customers in Rock Hill and surrounding areas.

Dino is preceded in death by his father, L. W. Benjamin and his brother, Lowrane Hart.

He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy his devoted children: Cierra Chantal Benjamin and Landon Foster Benjamin. He is also survived by his loving mother, Barbara Lowry Benjamin; sister Don’jenina Feemster (Carl) of Clover, SC; brothers: Bobby Benjamin (Sheila) of York, SC and Carlos Benjamin of Manchester, KY; uncles: Foster Benjamin (Dorothy) of Rock Hill, SC, and Mason Lowry of Baltimore, MD; aunts: Alberta Wright (Ben) of Clover, SC and Frances Meeks of York, SC; Special Friend: Paula Tyree of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

 Funeral services will be 1:00 pm at Gold Hill Baptist Church this Saturday, November 10, 2018.  Burial with Military Honors will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:00 pm prior to the service and other times at his mother’s home- 5059 Drake Pond Ln, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
