Mrs. Cozetta “Coco” Long Feemster entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 11, 2022 at White Oak Manor Nursing Home in Rock Hill, SC. She was born in York County on June 26, 1936 to the late Minnie Feemster Long and Joe Cephus Long.
Cozetta attended York County Public Schools. She was an avid homemaker and took care of many children in the Hickory Grove and Sharon Communities whom she loved dearly and in return they truly loved her. She enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, making chow-chow, pickled beets and she loved to pick turnip greens (as she would say, “I love to hear them snap”).
Cozetta was a faithful member of Mount Zion AME Zion Church, where she attended Sunday School, and served as a member of the Senior Choir.
In addition to her parents, Cozetta is preceded in death by her husband, LJ Feemster; brother, Clifford Long; brothers-in-law; George Vaughan, Harold Mobley and Clyde Thompson.
Cozetta leaves to cherish her loving memories, daughters; Kimberly Woods (Larry) and DeWilla Williams (Rick) of Rock Hill, SC and Gloria Sharp (William) of York, SC; sons, Mark Feemster of Spartanburg, SC and Nelson Long of Ft. Worth, TX. Grandchildren: JoJo Woods, Richard and Brandon Williams, Zachary and Taylr Sharp, Kyle Good, Marcus Crawford; Great-grandchildren: Landon Williams and Lauren Sharp Berna; sisters, Parthenia Vaughan of York, SC, JoAnn Thompson and Christeen Mobley of Staten Island, NY, Mary Sue White of High Point, NC; brother, Harold Brown (Debbie) of Youngstown, OH; sisters-in law, Ezell Couch (Cordell) of Columbus, OH and Diana Long of Reston, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She also cherished the friendship of Ms. Hattie Neely and Mrs. Annie Thompson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, November 18, 2022 at Mt. Zion AME Zion Church in Hickory Grove, SC with Rev. Frankie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Feemster may be viewed from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 17th at the funeral home.
