Cora Elizabeth (Frye) Tyson

Mrs. Cora Elizabeth “Beth” Tyson, 44, of Cheraw, SC and formerly of Hickory Grove, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023  at McLeod Health in Cheraw, SC.  Born July 10, 1979 in Mecklenburg County, NC, she was a daughter of the late James Frye and Cindy Ferrell.

                She attended York Comprehensive High School and worked for several different outfits over the years--West Marine, Tyson Foods and Stacy’s Greenhouses. Beth enjoyed going to the movies, singing karaoke, cooking, video games and hanging out. She could drive anything, and especially liked fast cars. She just really enjoyed life.

                Beth was also very kind-hearted and would give her last to anyone who needed it. She would drive people to appointments and help in any way she could. Her generous spirit and strength will truly be missed.

                Surviving to cherish fond memories are her husband, Andree Tyson; two sons, Benjamin Tyson and Samuel Hucks; a daughter, Olivia Ferrell; a sister, Thetis Griffin; a brother, Stalvey Hucks; special nieces, Courtney Neal, Rainy Welch, and Vanessa Welch; a nephew, Zac Griffin; a great-nephew, George Neal and a great-niece, Charlotte Griffin; and a host of cousins and friends.

                Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Wright Funeral Home.
