Cassandra Elizabeth Greene

Allah (God) has decided to call back one of the foundational pillars of our community, Honorable Founding Mother, Cassandra (Saudah) Greene on December 1, 2022.  She was an unsung hero, who was dedicated and loyal without reservation.  We as a family and community will definitely feel this loss, and while we all grieve her departure, we are strengthened by the knowledge that she now joins all other loved ones on the other side along with our beloved Father, and all those family members who went before her.

Preceding her in death are her father, James Greene, Jr., her mother, Cecelia Garner, and her sister, Celeste P. Greene.

Surviving to cherish fond memories are her children: Dr. Naeemah Howell Ghafur, Tashriyha Greene, M. Mu'az Abdul-Haqq Greene, Jumanah Azhar Greene, Faiza Falah Greene, Lubna Bint Hasib Greene and their spouses, as well as all their siblings, including their children and grandchildren.  She additionally leaves 25 grandchildren of her own to mourn her loss; as well as a host of cousins and friends.

May Allah (God) grant her paradise and closeness to Him and grant her children and family and all of the community the patience to bear such a huge loss. Ameen.

Janazah services will be 9:00 am, Saturday, December 3, 2022.
