Carolyn B Barber

Ms. Carolyn Bernadette Barber, 78, was born April 10, 1945 in York County, South Carolina.  She is the daughter of the late Hazel and Annie Wilmore Barber. She departed this life on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at White Oak Manor in York, South Carolina.

Carolyn and her family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at an early age and she was educated in the Philadelphia School System. Carolyn lived in Philadelphia until 2005, when she moved back to York with her mother, Annie.  Though she never worked due to her health, she had a strong personality and was sure to let you know exactly what she would and would not do!

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Annie Wilmore Barber; and her brothers, Thomas Wilmore and John Barber.

Carolyn leaves to cherish precious memories a host of cousins; as well as a special cousin, Doris Chisolm, who faithfully served as her guardian.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Gold Hill Baptist Church in York, SC. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 prior to the service.
