Brenda Robbins Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Dianne Jordan Robbins was born on July 17, 1943 to Lydell Jordan Logan and the late Beatty Logan in Gaffney, South Carolina.

She later moved to Sharon, SC, where she met her first love, the late Albert Robbins, Sr.

After the death of her husband, she moved to York with her family in the little community known as “East End,” where she was still residing before her Heavenly Departure.

She was employed by Klear Knit in Clover, SC from 1971 to 1996 when it closed. She then started at Moldan (now Filtrair) from 1996 until her health failed. She was also employed by Interstate Contract Cleaning Service from 1994-2021, in which she maintained the Duke Energy Office in York, SC.

Brenda was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church in York, SC. She was a member of the Shepherd Fold Lodge AP&B #22, Hopewell Union Cooperative of Charity #3, and the Western York County NAACP.

She loved her family. She instilled in them to work hard and get what you want, as she did. She enjoyed cooking big meals, and she cooked to please each and everyone she knew was coming to the dinner.

She really loved her birthday gatherings, and made sure she would go out and eat. In her past time, she enjoyed rocking on the porch when the weather was beautiful.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved decorating with the lights and listening to Christmas music!

In addition to her father and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Ernest Lee; siblings: Joseph Stribble and Marion Logan; and a special sister-in-law, Mardine Robbins Wade.

She leaves to cherish her legacy five children: Albert Robbins, Jr (Melissa) of Spartanburg, SC, Alberta Falls (Jerry) of York, SC, Terri Stradford (Curtis) of Indian Land, SC, Michael Robbins and Lamar Robbins both of the home; thirteen grandchildren: Remikque, Reginald, Byron, Travis, Shonteea, Ty, Ron, Michael, Montavious, Nardia, Dimitri, Jervonta and Shareef; thirteen great-grandchildren: ZiQuan, Raniyah, Areya, Kingston, Madison, Cameron, Siheir, Ja’Michael, Ja’Marrien, Caidyn, Montavious, Jr., Kingston and Jaliyah; one great-great-granddaughter, Zari; three sisters, Dorothy Burkins, Betty Brown, and Margaret Davis all of York, SC; a special companion and caregiver, Arthur Lee Thompson of York, SC; a niece whom she reared, Cathy Simpson (Donnie) of York, SC; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Stribble, Florence Bankhead, LoAlice Smith, Sally Gilmore, Betty Robbins, Maggie Robbins, and Janet Robbins; two brothers-in-law, David Robbins (Barbara) and Hansel Robbins (Maeola); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
