Ms. Barbara "Cooky" Painter, of 4132 Woodlawn Acres, Sharon, SC passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 at her home. Born August 26, 1962 in York, SC, she was a daughter of the late Calvin "Jack" Painter and Margaret Painter Childers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Wright Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, September 21st at the funeral home.
A lover of butterflies, Mickey Mouse, and pajamas, she was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
Preceding her in death are her mother, Margaret Painter Childers; father, Jack Painter; stepfather, Willie Childers; a sister, Brenda Parker; and her soulmate, Dink Brakefield.
Surviving to cherish loving memories are her son, Eddie Lee Ford; two daughters, Annette Painter and Tasha Painter; six grandchildren: Damien Jones, Austin Phillips, Hayden Ford, Anthony Painter, Peyton Brakefield, and Jayden Painter; three sisters, Maxine Golden, Louise Dorsett, and Lesia Bradley; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
