Mr. Albert Robbins Jr., affectionately known as Junebug, was born on July 26,1962 to the late Albert Robbins Sr and Brenda D. Robbins in York County, South Carolina.
Junebug was a graduate of York Comprehensive High School Class of 1981! He was a standout football player for the Green Dragons.
Junebug was raised up in York with the rest of his family on East End where everyone was Family! Junebug loved his Family. He enjoyed spending time with everyone and would make his rounds to visit when he was in town.
He would always say a Quote his mother said before she transitioned to Heaven " My Mama said Family is all you got and y'all got to stick together."
Junebug was a member of New Life Deliverance Worship Center in Spartanburg SC.
He was employed with Crown Health Care Laundry Service in Spartanburg, SC. During his time residing in York He Worked at Cannon Mills, Old Master Putter, Performance Friction and ADC.
Junebug was also preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents, Beatty and Lydell Jordan Logan; Paternal Grandparents Alfonso "Ball" and Jessie Darby Robbins; Uncles: Joseph Stribble, Marion Logan, Frank Robbins, Andrew Robbins, Harry Robbins, George Wade, Norman Falls, James Smith, Samuel Gilmore, Tom Darby and Rev. Dr. Arthur A Bankhead Sr.; Aunts, Mardine Wade, LoAlice Smith, Novella Falls, Mary Helen Darby and Princess Robbins; Special Friend, Cheryl (Pic) Gore; and a Nephew, Michael R. Gore.
Survived to carry on his legacy are his Son, Byron Carothers of Oakridge SC; his Daughter, Nardia Robbins of Rock Hill,SC; A Grandson, Kingston Anderson of Rock Hill, SC; two Sisters, Alberta Falls (Jerry) of York SC and Terri Stradford (Curtis) of Indian Land, SC; two Brothers, Michael Robbins and Lamar Robbins both of York, SC; two nieces, Meka Robbins Walker (Pap), and Shonteea Stewart; eight nephews, Cruso Robbins, Jervonta Falls (Kayla), Ty Stewart (Shantana), Dimitri Stewart, Ron Stewart, Shareef Stradford, Travis Gayten (Kim), and Montavious Gayten; thirteen Great nephews and nieces: ZiQuan, Raniyah, Myles, Areya, Madison, Cameron, Siheir, Ja'marrien, Ja'Micheal, Kingston, Jaliyah, Caidyn, Montavious Jr.; and two Great-Great nieces, Zari and Zi'Yonni Robbins; a special companion, Melissa Robbins; two Uncles, Hansel Robbins (Maeola) and David Robbins (Barbara); eight Aunts, Florence A. Bankhead, Sally Gilmore, Margaret Davis, Dorothy Burkins, Betty Brown, Dorothy Stribble, Janet Robbins and Betty Robbins. He is also survived by a host of cousins and other relatives.
Memorial services will be 1:30 pm, Sunday, July 6, 2025 at St. Luke #1 Baptist Church in Sharon, SC with Rev. Chico Gilmore officiating and Min. Paris White eulogizing. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Alberta Falls, 708 Rockcastle Drive, York, SC 29745 from Wednesday, July 2nd - Sunday, July 6th with the exception of Friday, July 4th. Burial will be private with the family.
